Let's talk about 2018, both for the company and for myself as a gamer, writer, and designer. I won't bother with a flowery introduction, but suffice to say I am pleased with progress this year.
I submitted several ideas both for fiction and adventures. They were all shot down lol. But that is part of the process and it helps me refine my writing. It stinks to be rejected, but you can either quit or use the pain as motivation. I choose to stay motivated, though it is not always easy. And I did have an article accepted into a Fan Zine. Speaking of Fan Zines... I have great plans for D.I.R.G.Ezine.
My personal gaming was a ton of fun this year. I did run The Widow's Well at JordanCon18. I look to be at more conventions this year and to run more games this year too. I played some, in our semi-regular Wednesday night game and the beginning of the North ATL Indie game days. I have run a lot of games this year. D&D, Shadowrun, Citadel of Time, and Call of Cthulhu. Looking to run even more next year and stream some games.
Much of my focus will be on design space this year. Citadel of Time and Shadows Cast of Sunset are both in line to be published, CoT by summer and SCoS by next Christmas. Skae and Runed Worlds will end up in heavy playtest as well. I suspect a couple other designs may well end up there too. I want to get something PBtA out there for playtest as the system intrigues me.
Along with game systems I want to do the following:
Have a good 2019!
Sean AKA The Dragon has been gaming or thinking about gaming for over thirty years. Game design is one of his greatest passions. He has ideas and is not afraid to talk about them.
